Northwood University’s on-campus Health Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. 到5点.m. on regular class days during the fall and spring semesters.

Off-Campus Medical Care

    • Expensive option for minor illness

    • Always use 911 emergency system for life-threatening events

Counseling Center — Mental Health

The Counseling Center provides free, confidential services for both mental health and personal growth/support. One-on-one services are available to help students address concerns including but not limited to:

  • Mental Health:

    • 焦虑

    • Stress Management

    • Athletic Performance

    • Eating and health concerns

  • Personal Growth/Support:

    • Family or relationship concerns

    • Transitioning to college life

    • Career decision making

These services are free and focused on short term counseling intervention; students who need longer-term services are offered referral assistance and/or other university and community resources. Services are for all currently enrolled students at Northwood University — Midland, MI. Staff are licensed mental health professionals and/or supervised graduate student trainees.

Counseling Center Location

The Counseling Center is located in the back of the Plaster Building in the McNair Center Room 122. Office hours are 8 a.m. 到5点.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments are available from 8 a.m. 到下午4点.m. Appointment requests can be made by emailing counseling@7272772.com or logging into My.Northwood to access the Counseling Center home page. Students can access counseling information, resources, schedule an appointment and much more.

Comprised of University Employees who interact with students in a variety of settings, the 护理团队 meets every two weeks to proactively prevent or reduce problems faced by students.

The 护理团队 exists to provide an individualized support system for Northwood University students, including counseling and a coordinated response by University departments to promote student success.

Concerns to look for

  • Students and Peers:

    • Disengaging or isolating behavior

    • Missing class or not completing assignments

    • Significant change in behavior or appearance

    • Problematic behaviors such as alcohol or drug abuse, self-mutilation or other uncharacteristic or concerning behavior

    • Any other information that leads one to be concerned for the health and safety of another student

    • Reports/complaints of bullying
